Reopens Terrace

After 40 Years!

10/3/2009.  Thanks to Mary Rhodes for attending the reopening today and for sharing a few comments and photos from the event

Everyone waited.........

.......and waited....

"After being closed for 40 years, the library terrace is once again open to the public.

The terrace doors were tantalizingly open, with a ceremonial ribbon strung across the opening.

We all honored that thin strip of material and waited until Brian Hildreth stepped up to the podium.

Brian introduced the Library Board of Directors, and explained that today was the culmination of 18 months of planning and work.

With that simple speech, Don Comstock, president of the board, snipped the ribbon in half....

and out we all went to the terrace.

What a wonderful place!!

Brian - You Are the MAN!!!"
