INTERNET LOOKUPS

Related to Allegany County Genealogy

I will do look-ups on most anything.  I have access the same as most good genealogists have, but,  may be of help for the beginner.

I don't charge, but, may just be a little slow.

Since I am physically on the West Coast, I cannot do lookups except on internet locations that I have subscription to and in local newspapers...pre 1930s.  Olean papers, McKean County PA papers, New England Marriages before 1700....whatever!  I love mysteries.

I have several lines of the Bakers who had roots in the Allegany County area......

When emailing, supply dates and names....anything that will help with what you are looking for.

Dear Ron:

I saw your request for genealogical researchers' information.  I've done research for more than 20 years and have developed expertise in several areas (see below).  From a geographical standpoint, I've done research (physically and Web-based) in locales throughout the eastern half of the U.S. and have access to several key national resources/archives, many of which are minutes away from where I live.
I would be very grateful if you could share my information with people looking for help.  Here are my details:

Name:  Chris Jones

Residence:  Louisville, KY

Types of research:  Colonial period, Irish & Scottish ancestry, German ancestry, Civil War/Revolutionary War, general immigration data

Charges:  Initial search - $10/hour for first 10 hours
$12/hour beyond that if it's determined that further information is available.

Many thanks Ron.

Best wishes,

Chris

Re: African American history in Allegany County 1830-1990

Hi Ron, I ran across your site asking for researchers.

I’m interested in researching African American history in Allegany County 1830-1990, since my family’s heritage is in a number of the towns in that county.

Any assistance you can provide with networking, links or research on that subject would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Monica
