C. Lawrence Shields of Bradford, PA


C. Lawrence Shields, age 80, of Bradford, PA, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2007, in Bradford Regional Medical Center. Besides his wife, Dorothy, he is survived by his son, Patrick G. Shields of Leonardsville, NY; daughter, Janine M. (Doug) Bell of Bradford; son, Daniel J. (Diane) Shields of Surfside Beach, SC; "adopted" son, Thomas M. Mazza of Leonardsville, NY; four brothers, Francis (Marge) Shields of Portville, NY, Richard (Joyce) Shields of Bolivar, NY, James (Roberta) Shields of Alma, NY, Robert (Nell) Shields of Alma, NY seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Virginia Shields and Phyllis Dickerson. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 16, 2007, from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Koch Chatley Gaeto Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., where funeral services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. John R. Shubert, Pastor of Grace Lutheran Church. Entombment will be in St. Bernard Cemetery Mausoleum, Bradford, PA. Memorial Contributions can be made in his memory to the Tuna Valley Trails Association, Grace Lutheran Church, or the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements entrusted to Koch Chatley Gaeto Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.
