Earl C. Fuller

 

Earl C. Fuller, of No 144 East Broad Street and the well known telegraph operator in the General offices of the B&S Railroad here, died at the Bryant Hospital in Boston, Mass., at an early hour Saturday morning, November 21, as the result of an operation.

 

Mr. Fuller had been troubled with his eyesight and diagnosis by specialists indicated a small tumor on the brain and advised an operation.  Mr. Fuller went to Boston two weeks ago, accompanied by Mrs. Fuller and was operated on Wednesday and again on Friday of last week, but hemorrhages following resulted in his death.

 

The deceased was born in the town of Ward on July 10, 1886 a son of Mr. and Mrs. James O. Fuller. Later he removed to Scio, where he was employed as a telegraph operator by the B&S Railroad, removing to Wellsville when the general offices were opened here about seven years ago.  Mr. Fuller was united in marriage to Miss Katie Riley, whose death occurred in 1920.  His second wife was Mary Higgins, who survives him together with two children, Elisabeth and James and two brothers, A.D. Fuller of Andover and Donald Fuller of Washington, DC and his father James Fuller.   He was a member of Immaculate Conception church and of the Wellsville Lodge BPO Elks.

 

Funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at the Immaculate Conception Church, the Rev. Msgr. O’Brien officiated and burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery”**

 

**Despite what the obit says, Mr Fuller is buried in St Josephs Cemetery in Scio next to his first wife.

Catherine Riley Fuller Died on December 29th – Funeral At Scio on Saturday Morning

 

Mrs. Catherine C. Fuller died at the family home on Oak street at 12:30 o’clock Tuesday, December 28, 1920.  Mrs. Fuller had been a resident of Wellsville for one and half years.

 

She was the daughter of John and Elisabeth (Reddy) Riley and was born in Alma on April 16, 1887.  When nine years old the family removed to Scio.  She has also lived in Belfast and Friendship before coming to Wellsville.

 

On April 24, 1909, she was married to Earl C. Fuller who survives her together with a son, James  and daughter, Elisabeth, both at home.  There are also a brother, John Riley, of Slick, Okla., and the following sisters, Mrs. Nora Rounds, Caney, Kansas; Mrs. Margaret Ames, Long Island, Mrs. Martha Eshenbaugh, Hornell, Mrs. Agnes Fuller, Washington, D.C. , Mrs. Bessie Fuller and Amelia Riley, Wellsville.  Mrs. Fuller was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Wellsville.

 

The funeral will be held at St. Josephs church in Scio Saturday morning at 10:30 o’clock.  The Rev. R. O’Brien will officiate.  Interment will be in St. Joseph’s cemetery.
