Februarv 2 (first Thursday) .

"Share a Treasure or a Tale" by members and Guests Bring a memento or tell a story that has special meaning-or just come and listen!

March 2 (first Thursday)

"Executions In Allegany County, New York (1824-1882)" by Bob Dorsey of Wellsville. Mr. Dorsey has compiled information regarding four executions that took place in Allegany County and will discuss his newly published book. A drawing for a complimentary copy will be held.

April 6 (first Thursday)

"Can You Stump the Expert?" by David Palmer of Dansville

Receive $1 reward if Mr. Palmer cannot identify your antique farm implement (two items per person). with highlights from Mr. Palmer's 50-year collection of antique farm tools.

Mav 11 (second Thursday) - joint meeting with Willing Historical Society at Wellsville

"Historically Speaking With Teddy Roosevelt" by Paul Stillman of Cameron Mills.  Come and see Mr. Stillman as Theodore Roosevelt, our twenty.sixth president of the United States (1901-1909)!

June--1 (first Thursday)

'Canyon Light - The Nature of Letchworth State Park" by Ray Minnick of Castile

An accomplished outdoor photographer, Mr, Minnick will share his love of Letchworth State Park in a slide program displaying the wonders of the Grand Canyon of the East. His photographs have appeared on the covers of and in magazines such as Adirondack Life, New York Conservationist, and American culturist, as well as in travel and corporate brochures, catalogs, and calendars.

July and August - no meetings

September 7 (first Thursday) - joint meeting with Willing Historical Society at Wellsville.

"The Rise and Demise of the Genesee Valley Canal" by Author David L. Kipp of Rochester Mr. Kipp, a well-known authority on the Genesee Valley Canal, will present a program about the history of the canal, as documented in his book on the subject.

October 5 (first Thursday)

"Indiscretions of Our American Presidents" by Greg Kinal of Elma Mr. Kinal who presented a program on Lincoln's assassination in October 2005, returns with this Intriguing program about our American presidents.

November 2 (first Thursday)

"Honoring Our Veterans - Echo Taps/May 21. 2005" by John Babbitt of Canisteo Using his pictures that documented the event, Mr. Babbitt, photography coordinator for Echo Taps, highlights this historical occasion that featured 900 musicians who played a cascading arrangement of taps from Elmira to Bath.

December 14 (second Thursday) (Merchants Night December 7)

"Night Visions: The Secret Design of Moths" by Joseph Scheer and Mark Klingensmith of Alfred Mr. Scheer and Mr. Klingensmith's digital slide show features the moths that were the subject of an article that appeared in the May, 2002, issue ot the National Geographic about an art project that became a scientifically valuable record of moths in Allegany County, totaling 15,000 specimens.
